Advanced Onboard Training Course for Marine Science and Marine Ship Operations Course is established as a one-year course after graduating from the Faculty of Marine Life Sciences and the Faculty of Marine Resources and Environment, with the aim of cultivating advanced maritime engineers with an international perspective.

The requirements for advancing to the Department of Marine Science are to be enrolled in the Faculty of Marine Life Sciences or the Faculty of Marine Resources and Environment, and to complete the courses determined by the university.In addition to this, there is a supplementary admission system, and graduates of this university and other universities' fisheries departments can enter after obtaining the prescribed credits.In the ocean voyage, in addition to trawl fishing, tuna longline fishing, squid fishing practice, and ocean observation practice, we will call at major ports in Japan and overseas, visit facilities such as marine and fisheries, and interact with local stakeholders. Upon completion of the Marine Science Course, students are exempted from taking the written examination for Class 3 Marine Engineer (Navigation).If you pass the oral exam and physical examination, you will be granted a seaman's license.
