Two projects involving our university have been selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's project to develop offshore construction technologies for floating offshore wind power generation.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Ports and Harbors Bureau will implement the "Reiwa8In the "Technology Development Program for Establishing Optimal Offshore Construction Methods for Floating Offshore Wind Power Generation," a new project was selected.7Of the aforementioned technology development projects, the following are in which the Department of Marine Resources and Energy Science, Faculty of Science and Engineering, of this university, is participating:2The proposal has been accepted.
- Development of economical and high-performance anchoring technology to revolutionize offshore construction.
Summary: To establish a design and construction method for an economical new anchor with high anchoring capability and high seismic resistance for floating offshore wind power generation. - Technological development for the construction of a base port utilization adjustment system for offshore wind power generation
Overview: To build a system that dynamically evaluates base port utilization under uncertain conditions and optimizes construction planning and port resource allocation.
This program promotes technological development that contributes to establishing the optimal offshore construction method for floating offshore wind power generation, as a government-commissioned research and development project.
Through industry-academia-government collaboration with related organizations, our university will contribute to the establishment of safe and efficient offshore construction technologies for floating offshore wind power generation and to the development of Japan's offshore wind power industry.
