Timelines and Other Details of Entrance Ceremony for AY 2016 Enrolled Students of Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology



■ Date and Time: Thursday, April 7, 2016
   From 11:00 a.m. (Doors open for guest seating at 10:00 a.m.)
*New students are expected to attend a rehearsal for the school song led by the glee club from 10:30 a.m.
*Seating for guests will be available. However, please note that due to limited seats, guests may not be able to enter the hall.
The ceremony will be televised and can be viewed on a screen in the lobby.

  Entrance Ceremony
(undergraduate courses, Advanced Course for Maritime Science and Technology,
Sea Training Course, and graduate courses)

     10:00     Procession of enrolled students
     10:30     Rehearsal for school song (led by glee club) (until 10:50)
     10:55     Seating of honored guests and officers
     11:00     Opening
              Performance of national anthem
              Introduction of honored guests and officers
              Admission acceptance
              President’s speech
              Congratulatory messages from honored guests
              Declaration, representing the new students
              Singing of school song
     11:50      Closing
     11:55      Vice President’s talk
             (for parents and guardians of new students) (until 12:15)

*After the ceremony, an orientation for new graduate students will be held at the same venue.
