The university festival "Umitaka Festival" will be held at the Shinagawa Campus on November 3 (Friday), 4 (Saturday) and 5 (Sunday).
This year, the theme of the festival is "Kaidai-Musou (海大無双)." This word is derived from "海内無双," which means the one and only thing that exists just as one in the world. By changing "Kaidai (海内)" of "海内無双" into "海大" after "大" of Tokyo University ("大") of Marine Science and Technology, the theme represents our commitment to making the Umitaka Festival a unique university festival that exists just as one in the world and has many points to note unique to Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology students and energizing it.
In addition to a tuna-cutting show that attracts many people every year, the festival will feature refreshment booths with strong features in the area of fishery and the exhibition, sales and announcement of circles and laboratories unique to our university.
The festival will feature many events unique to our university that cannot be seen at other universities. We look forward to your coming from the bottom of our heart.
