Trainees of "JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Program (Region Focus)" from Myanmar visited TUMSAT (2018/3/6)

On March 6th, 2018, six trainees of "JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Program (Region Focus)" from Myanmar payed a courtesy visit to our President, Dr. Toshio Takeuchi. The Program aims to train administrators/researchers in Myanmar in the field of fisheries science. Four of the Trainees are from Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, and two of them are from University of Yangon. TUMSAT have Joint Declaration of Cooperation with both institutions.
Dr. Tadashi Tokai, Vice-President, Dr. Osamu Baba, Research Professor Hiroyo Sasaki, and Dr. Takeshi Kobayashi also attended the meeting. The participants exchanged active opinions on the future collaboration in the fields of fisheries science between Japan and Myanmar.
After the meeting, they attended a lecture by Dr. Baba, and visited facilities in Shinagawa Campus.
