Students from World Maritime University visited TUMSAT (2018/5/16)

On May 16, 2018, 29 graduate students, who are getting scholarship from the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (Japan), and 8 professors and staffs from World Maritime University (WMU) visited Etchujima campus, TUMSAT. WMU is a postgraduate maritime university founded by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) of the United Nations, and government administrators related to Maritime policy coming around the world is studying there. This visit was realized under favor of the request from the Foundation, which wished to introduce them the advanced shipping technology. Professor Yoshiaki Kunieda, Department of Maritime System Engineering, gave a lecture on outline of our university. After the lecture, they toured around the campus guided by Assoc. Prof Jun Kayano and Assoc. Prof. Hitoi Tamaru (Department of Maritime System Engineering) and visited research facilities.
