TUMSAT-Chonnam National University Joint Seminar "Present and Future of Japanese Processed Sea Food" was held in TUMSAT (2018/6/1)

On June 1st, 2018, Dr. Choi Sang Duk, Dean, College of Fisheries and Ocean Science, Chonnam National University and 3 other faculty members visited TUMSAT to hold the Joint Seminar "Present and Future of Japanese Processed Sea Food". About 20 members of the alumni association of Chonnam National University also participated in the seminar.

The Seminar started with and opening remarks by Dr. Tadashi Tokai, TUMSAT Vice-President, and presentations by Professor Emiko Okazaki, Associate Professor Manabu Watanabe, Department of Food Science and Technology of TUMSAT, and Professor Lee Kyoung Hoon, College of Fisheries and Ocean Science, Chonnam National University, followed.

Next day on June 2nd, the delegation of Chonnam National University attended the assembly meeting of RAKUSUI-Kai, TUMSAT's alumni association. At the assembly meeting, Dr. Toshio Takeuchi, President of TUMSAT met with them and the alumni association members of Chonnam National University.

Through the seminar and the interaction between both alumni associations, collaboration between both universities will be expected to become even more active in the future.
