1 professor and 11 Students from Zhejiang Ocean University visited TUMSAT (2018/12/12-14)

From December 12th to 14th, 2018, 11 graduate students and 1 professor from School of Naval Architecture and Mechanical electrical Engineering, Zhejiang Ocean University visited TUMSAT. The party visited Shinagawa Campus on 12th and Etchujima Campus on 14th.
In the morning of 12th, the party heard an introduction of TUMSAT and a mini-lecture by Prof. HU Fuxiang (Department of Marine Biosciences). In the afternoon, they looked around the Marine Science Museum and listened attentively to the explanation by the curator.
Moreover on 14th in Etchujima Campus, Dr. Tatsuro Tsukamoto, Dean of School of Marine Technology gave a lecture on the outline of the school, and Dr. Naoto Iwasaka, Dean of Undergraduate course of Maritime Systems Engineering gave a lecture on the outline of the course. After the lectures, the party visited the Engine facility (Diesel engine) and Meiji maru, Meiji-maru Museum.
As reference information, 3 faculty members and 28 students from Zhejiang Ocean University visited Shinagawa Campus of TUMSAT in July. Moreover, Dr. Tadashi Tokai, Vice-President and Executive Director for International Affairs, and Professor Fuxiang Hu (Department of Marine Biosciences), who is a contact person of Zhejiang Ocean University, attended the ceremony of The 60th Anniversary of the Founding of Zhejiang Ocean University in November. TUMSAT and Zhejiang Ocean University have frequent exchanges recently.
