Application guideline on the scholarship for students with high academic achievement for the academic year 2016 at TUMSAT (For students to be admitted for Doctor's Course in October 2016)

This scholarship program was established for students with excellent qualities or abilities to pursue their academic objectives without worrying about an economical burden too much when they study in Doctoral courses, aiming to become excellent researchers in the future.
The scholarship for students studying in Doctoral Courses.
（１）The eligibility of application
These excellent students belong to the 2nd grade of Master's Courses and to start studying in Doctoral Courses in October 2016.
（２）The amount of the scholarship
250,000 yen (One time payment)
The scholarship amount may change according to the budget and the number of beneficiaries.
（３）The number of the beneficiaries
They must be ranked 10th or better, including those to start studying in Doctoral Courses in April 2017.
（４）The documents to be submitted
- Application form for the scholarship for students with high achievements (Form 1) (38.5 KB)
- Research achievement list (Form 2)(82.5 KB)
- The documents proving the achievements while you belonged to the Master's Courses

（７）Selection and decision
The candidates including those proceeding to Doctoral Courses are to be screened in April 2017, and the scholarship students are to be selected in March 2017.
（８）How to select the scholarship students
The selection process shall comply with "the Agreement on recommendation of the candidates to be exempted from the scholarship repayment by Japan Student Services Organization"
（９）The conferment of the scholarship
After deciding the scholarship students, we will confer the catalog on the students by the previous day of the degree ceremony in March 2017, and transfer of the scholarship amounts to the designated deposit accounts. The conferred scholarship is not necessary to be returned.
If you have been exempted from the tuition fees, or received other scholarships from government organizations (including those of the independent administrative corporation: Japan Student Services Organization), local public entities, or private scholarship foundations, you may be still able to receive this scholarship. For your information, when you are screened for the exemption of the tuition fees, this scholarship is not counted as temporal income to add to the income.
