Matters to be noted during the summer holidays

Matters to be noted during the summer holidays

Students tend to have irregular hours in the summer holidays. Please pay special attention to the points below.

1. Confirm the security system and understand how to contact when you are in emergency

When you attend extracurricular activities or go to laboratories, make sure how to avoid dangerous situations and get a health check. All students who attend extracurricular activities have to know each other. In case of the accident, reconfirm to your special adviser if all of these security system are prepared.

2. Temporary Return Home or Overseas Trip

If you go abroad for a temporary return home or a trip, you must submit the following document to the International Student Section (Shinagawa) or the Student Support Section (Etchujima Campus).

When going on a trip overseas, confirm the safety of your destination in advance with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' web pages, below, before you leave

3. Crisis Management

 1. Registration with the Emergency Communication System: In an emergency, the university will send out emails to confirm the safety of its students and will deliver important notices to students' text message in their cell phones. So, please ensure you register your email address with the system.

‚ 2. Official Temporary Website: If the university's official website becomes unavailable in an emergency, we will post important information on the Official Temporary Website.

4. Drinking & Drugs

Needless to say, You can prevent accidents caused by drinking and Drugs by the awareness of individual. Please be careful not to have any accidents and keep away from troubles.

5. Health Management

1. Influenza: If you have a high fever of at least 37.5 °C and additional symptoms, such as coughing, sore throat, nasal discharge, diarrhea, vomiting, muscular pain, and stiffness of the joints, consult with a medical institution rather than attending the university. If you have been infected with influenza, be sure to let us know at g-gaku@o.kaiyodai.ac.jp.

‚2. Norovirus: If you have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomachache, and a high fever from 37 °C to 38 °C, consult with a medical institution rather than attending the university.
