About the application for student loans (extraordinary application) provided by JASSO for the academic year 2017

We will accept application of Type 2 Student Loan (with interest) of Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) as below. The students who want to apply should receive the application forms from the clerk in charge on each Campus and submit them within the due date.

1. Qualification for the application

  • Japanese students belong to the Schools, the Graduate School and Advanced Training Course for Maritime Science and Technology, or foreign students who have the resident status designated by Japan Student Services Organization (permanent or long-term residents) as of October 1, 2017.

※The students currently repeating the same grades and overseas students cannot apply.

2. Monthly Financed Amounts

  • Schools or Advanced Training Course for Maritime Science and Technology
    Type 2  30,000 yen, 50,000 yen, 80,000 yen, 100,000 ye or 120,000 yen
  • Graduate School
    Type 2  50,000 yen, 80,000 yen, 100,000 yen, 130,000 yen or 150,000

3. Distribution Site of the Application Forms

  • Shinagawa Campus: Scholarship section, Student Support Division (TEL: 03-5463-0435)
  • Etchujima Campus: Student service section, Etchujima Campus Administration Division (TEL: 03-5245-7317)

4. Application Periods and Locations (Please apply at your campus.) * Except for Saturdays and Sundays

① Application Periods: October 2, 2017 (Monday) to 17:00, December 15, 2017 (Friday)

First deadline: 17:00, October 20, 2017 (Friday) ⇒ Initial pay scheduled on December 11, 2017(Monday)

Second deadline: 17:00, December 15, 2017 (Friday) ⇒ Initial pay scheduled on February 9, 2018(Friday)

※Please note we will not accept after the application periods.

 〇 Shinagawa Campus: Scholarship section, Student Support Division (TEL: 03-5463-0435)

 〇 Etchujima Campus: Student service section, Etchujima Campus Administration Division (TEL: 03-5245-7317)

※After submitting the application documents to the university, the applicants will be required to input data by themselves on the internet.
