Need to know while conducting job hunting:

• 일본어가 능숙하고 원활한 커뮤니케이션을 도모할 수 있는 것
  You should be fluent in Korean and be capable of comfortably communicating in Korean in the workplace.
• 일본의 문화·관습을 깊이 이해하고 타사원과 협조나 협력을 도모할 수 있는 것
  You should have solid understanding of Korean culture and customs and be able to collaborate and cooperate with other employees.
• 사원의 교육 연수나 OJT 등에 의해 자기 성장을 기대할 수 있는 것
  You should expect to engage in self-development efforts through employee education and OJT.
• 엔트리 시트·이력서에서 설득력 있는 자기 PR과 지망 동기가 일본인 학생처럼 쓰여져 있는 것
  As with Korean, you should be able to: complete a job application, promote yourself, and provide reasons for applying for the job on your resume.

많은 기업은 일본인과 외국인 유학생을 구별하지 않고 채용 시험을 실시하고 있습니다.
Most of companies do not distinguish international students from Korean students during the employment process. They tend to choose the most capable candidate regardless of nationality.

Internships for International students

도쿄 외국인 고용 서비스 센터에서는, 유학생의 인턴십생을 모집해, 센터에 등록한 인턴십 참가 기업과의 매칭을 실시하고 있습니다.

Tokyo Employment Service Center for Foreigners recruits International students for Internships.The organization will arrange appropriate internships in registered companies for each applicant.

특정 활동(취업) 비자
지정 활동 비자

졸업 시점에서 취직이 정해지지 않고, 일본에서의 취업 활동을 계속하고 싶은 경우, 재류 자격 「특정 활동(취활)」의 변경 신청이 가능합니다.
If you could not find a work even after graduation, you can apply for a "designated activities" visa to continue your job hunt.

• 체류기간 : 6개월
  Period of stay: 6 months
• 한 번만 업데이트 가능
  One-time-only renewable
• 취업할 수 없는 재류 자격이지만, 아르바이트 취업의 희망이 있는 경우는 재차 자격외 활동 허가의 신청이 필요
  You can not continue working a part time job after obtaining a "Designated activities" Visa. It is necessary to regain permission in order to engage in activities other than those permitted under your previously granted status of residence.
